In 1999, Boyd’s Coffee was the first American coffee roaster in the United States to import Rainforest Alliance Certified™ Coffee. Today, this commitment continues with the addition of the Knockout™ blend containing 40 percent Rainforest Alliance Certified™ coffee.
The medium-dark roasted coffee blend joins five other Boyd’s coffee blends using Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee beans. The nonprofit organization works to conserve biodiversity and promote the rights and well-being of workers, their families and communities. The coffee is available ground for foodservice in cases of 48 7-ounce packets or 50 2.5-ounce packets.
“We were passionate about this certification in the late 1990s, and we continue our commitment. Today, we have six coffees carrying the Rainforest Alliance certified seal,” says Michael Boyd, a fourth-generation Boyd family member and coffee buyer. “We believe sustainable coffee can help create a more sustainable world and are excited to offer the Knockout™ blend.
